Accounts, 1757-1796. Some deal with the estates of Augustus Van Horne's parents, Cornelius G. Van Horne and Judith Jay Van Horne. Others deal with the estate of Elizabeth Carpenter, and with the expenses in 1780 of Van Horne's company in the city militia (when New York was under British occupation). There are also accounts of cash received by Van Horne, 1779-1784, for the governors of King's College, New York (which later became Columbia University), memos about real estate transactions in New York City, and some biographical notes about his immediate family.
